Everyone

Everywhere

Lucky you

Here comes kindness

On this day

Mister Cool

Quits behaving quite so foolish.

Mark the day

Note the time

Look out, world

Here comes kindness

Here I am

So remiss

Never thought I’d ever try this.

When I was young

I was so obviously

Sharp as a tack

And burst balloons around me

High on my cloud

Above a pitiful race

Mucked up and stuck

So far below that high place.

But now I think my sorry act

Was more about myself

Hoping eyes that criticize

Would land somewhere else.

Everyone

Everywhere

Lucky you

Here comes kindness

On this day

Mister Cool

Quits behaving quite so foolish.

Mark the day

Note the time

Look out, world

Here comes kindness

Here I am

So remiss

Never thought I’d ever try this.

You I accused

I do now hereby acquit

Given the wowsers

I myself committed

Some so insane

And some as dumb as can be

Human, I err

And so spectacularly.

Being judge and jury

Comes to way too much work

It takes a real commitment

To be such a big jerk.

Now that days are shorter

What I daily have in mind

Is how to spend them peacefully

And not waste my time.

Given the calls

We all get called on to make

Applause is in order

When we’re not mistaken.

Skumps to the chumps

And all our fallible ways

Doing our best

With egg-encrusted faces.

Everyone

Everywhere

Lucky you

Here comes kindness

On this day

Mister Cool

Quits behaving quite so foolish.

Mark the day

Note the time

Look out, world

Here comes kindness

Here I am

So remiss

Never thought I’d ever try this.
