Robby Berman
When somewhere you remember
From long ago
You used to know
The secrets we were keeping.
The late-night conversation
That said it all
Our endless calls
Occurred as they were sleeping.
Lost beyond the mist of distant past
A bright blue moon
And there we are
The gone and forgotten us at last.
If you cross my mind
As I say hi in yours
Some small somewhere
Goes shift and shatter
Maybe way inside
The world in which we live
Spin and sparkle
Hidden matter.
Thick as any criminals could be
But that was then
And this is now
A slice of discarded history.
And later as the story
Proceeds apace
It's just a trace
A signal in the static.
It's background information
We'll never tell
A keepsake held
Discreetly in the attic.
If you cross my mind
As I say hi in yours
Some small somewhere
Goes shift and shatter
Maybe way inside
The world in which we live
Spin and sparkle
Hidden matter.
If I cross your mind
As you occur to me
Some small somewhere
Goes shift and shatter
Maybe way inside
The world in which we live
Spin and sparkle
Hidden matter.
Hidden matter
Hidden matter
Hidden matter
Hidden matter.
